Making the right choice of material for the job is a fundamental decision.
Ruberoid consistently give the best balance of performance and value.
You can be confident with the worlds largest flat roof material manufacturer.
Good practice demands working from the drips, or the rain water outlet ( the lowest point) up to the highest point on the roof. All flashings and laps can then be formed with consideration to the drainage and falls of the roof. The felt is laid in the direction of the fall of the roof which enables rainwater to flow down each sheet and along, rather than across each lap.
Flashings, upstands and drips are formed separately to the ends and sides of the rolls.
On the top layer a small bead of bitumen is extruded from all the lap joints.
A bitumen /rubber sealant is used at the top of abutments.
Each layer is laid with the laps staggered to ensure maximum security and strength of the finished coverings.
